Client Spotlight: Simon & Ruby

Simon & Ruby is a travel inspired, handcrafted jewelry line for free spirits, globetrotters, and those with an unshakable sense of wanderlust.

Designer,  Lindsay Farrer, created Simon & Ruby out of a heartwarming story of her great-grandmother, Ruby, and her tale of loss and yearning - the sweet agony of missing a place, a time, a person.

"They are wistful reminders that our hearts can live in many places, sometimes all at once"
Lindsay Farrer | Simon & Ruby

Each season Lindsay focuses on a different locale and brings her experience of a place to life through the use of color, texture and shape. Her unique pieces feature high-quality stones, beads and pendants that are hammered and stamped by hand.

This spring Simon & Ruby's newest collection was inspired by Guatemala, from the weathered painted walls of Antigua to the designs found in traditional Guatemalan textiles.

As part of her Style Discovery, I had Lindsay make a Pinterest board with inspiration images and we discussed her vision for the shoot.  Lindsay was looking for product photography that could lend a fresh perspective to the pieces, something that leaned toward "modern bohemian". A clean line, minimal take on bohemian style that didn't distract from the texture of her pieces.

Traditionally, Simon & Ruby has used standard white background product shots and lifestyle photography with models and they were excited to collaborate on styled product shots to round out their brand photography. You can find these images used in Simon & Ruby's Eternal Spring Lookbook, social content and also on the website as shop listings

Congrats Lindsay, I love your new collection and I can't wait to see where you're headed next!

Client Spotlight: Hibiscus Linens

Mariana Barran de Goodall is the beauty, brains and nimble fingers behind Hibiscus Linens. Every beautiful piece is made by hand using traditional techniques that are almost non-existent in today's market.

Mariana came to me looking for photos of her linens to use for blog posts, social content and to share with future bridal clients. She wanted Hibiscus Linens to feel timeless, effortlessly elegant and beautiful.  She also wanted it to be clear that these vintage-inspired linens are made for modern day entertaining and to serve as an inspiration to celebrate - everyday!

During the Style Consultation we uncovered a few themes that her clients have shared with her over the years and developed them to showcase her stunning linens and highlight the exquisite detail and craftsmanship.

Hibiscus Linens make date nights at home at little more special. Entertaining at the lake house a little more elegant. And of course, beautiful gifts for newlyweds to cherish for years to come.
